Pukka-j will introduce a range of Pacsology products and services at UKRC in Manchester this year with the aim of meeting the challenge of providing information services to an increasingly technology -driven healthcare service.
Technical Director Kevin Wilson said: “We view Pacsology as a science, being an amalgamation of our technical expertise and knowledge of imaging and IT, working closely with our customers to ensure the main elements of a PACS are fully considered, regardless of the size and ownership of existing and components.
“We believe the informatics and clinical responsibilities of a PACS fall into two distinct categories, whereby the choice of modality, reporting tools and workflow are addressed by clinical users, while the IT elements are driven by an organisation/s informatics team.”
Pacsology portfolio offers an array of open standard products including “multiology” neutral archives; image information services; role-based, workflow-driven RIS/PACS with diagnostic image viewer and an integration engine to receive electronic or ‘choose and book’ orders and for report publication back to PAS, HIS, EPR and GP systems.
It also covers dashboard statistics and KPI reporting; image and report data sharing; data conversion and migration services; clustered PACS workers for handling high performance and load balancing of connected devices and users. Pacsology can be scaled up and out and can support all informatics architecture models for local onsite, physical or virtual, plus hosted offsite environments.
